The new documentary, ‘Unchartered Amazon,’ took six months of intense filming deep in the Amazonian jungle.
“Unchartered Amazon” delves deep into the Las Piedras River jungle, highlighting the many animals that we know very little about.
This is still unchartered territory.
Some of these animals are so alien-like; it is amazing that there are still species on this planet that have yet to be discovered.
Unfortunately, this part of the Amazon is going through a lot of changes brought about by human industry.
Filmmaker Tristan Thomson said of the experience;
“I don’t think any part of it was easy but most of it was fun and when we did finally get what we were after, there was a great sense of achievement. I mean who knows, everything in that short trailer could be gone in 50 years.”
This documentary was entirely funded by Kickstarter and will be released in the fall of 2015.
