For many hunters, a hunt in Arizona is a dream come true. So why not apply for a tag online and see if you draw one?

Making dreams come true is often the case of hard work and persistence. So if you’ve wanted to hunt in Arizona, why haven’t you applied for a tag online yet? It’s like the old saying, to win the lottery, you have to at least buy a ticket.

Throwing your hat in the ring is easier than ever with the technological advancements that we’re lucky to have at our disposal. Applying online at the Arizona Game and Fish Department is so easy and they’re accepted until June 14.

There is a catch though – you have to have a valid Arizona hunting license to apply for a hunt permit-tag to go after deer, fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall bison, and pheasant.

The new program instated this year is known as PointGuard, available to all applicants who apply online. The point of the program is that it’s a benefit point system and ensures that “if a successful applicant is unable to participate in a hunt for any reason, the accumulated bonus points that were expended to draw that hunt permit-tag will be reinstated.”

It’s an exciting time to be a hunter!
