‘A Walk in the Woods’ Will Put the Appalachian Trail on the Map [VIDEO]

Robert Redford and Nick Nolte star in the film adaptation of Bill Bryson’s 1998 classic book, ‘A Walk In the Woods.’

The story begins when Bryson (Redford) randomly decides to attempt a through hike of the Appalachian Trail. After taking a lot of heat from his wife, children, and friends, he finally finds a willing partner in his long lost traveling companion, Stephen Katz (Nolte.)

The inexperienced pair hit the trail and have some interesting adventures, learning a thing or two about camping, each other, and life in general along the way.

You’ll have to wait until Labor Day to see the film in theaters, but you can watch the “A Walk in the Woods” trailer right now.

Enjoy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading “A Walk in the Woods” and will be interested to see if the film does the book  justice, but with a cast like this one, I’m sure it will be good.
