An antlered doe is often a thing of mystery. Well, thanks to a good shot, these guys have all the proof they need to back it up!
The story behind this antlered doe is quite remarkable. Thanks to the magic eyes of trail cameras, these hunters were able to observe this deer for some time leading up to its harvest.
After noticing a few strange pictures revealing the sex of the animal, these hunters were quite sure that the 14-point buck was actually a doe.
Interestingly enough, the deer was not spotted even once during the entire year leading up to its harvest. This left the hunters in the area unsure of what may have happened to the deer during that time. Then, during the opening weekend of the Kentucky gun season, BOOM, there she was.

In cases where a hunter who is licensed to kill a buck actually shoots an antlered doe, game wardens tend to excuse the mistake. After all, aside form their ‘cash and prizes’ they certainly look similar.
