How many shots does it take to get your AR15 to spontaneously burst into flames? Time to find out!
The folks at A Vuurwapen Blog shot a Spike’s Tactical AR15 until its hand guard actually caught fire while they were in the process of firing live rounds. This is one of the harshest tests you could put your firearm through.
Watch the video below as they walk you though how this went down.
The team of two was in the process of shooting a total of 1,000 rounds out of the gun back to back. They were on their second set of 500 rounds when the hand guards caught fire.
This was unexpected, but it makes perfect sense that it happened. After the gun burned for a bit, they decided to throw it into a muddy puddle to cool it off. No worries, though; the gun was still not hot enough to cause any damage to the weapon itself.
After putting a new hand guard on the rifle, all is well. Be sure to check out and subscribe to A Vuurwapen Blog on Youtube for more shooting videos.
