Was the boat captain of “Nap Tyme” napping when he collided with this Washington ferry? The ironically named cabin cruiser seems to have lived up to its name!
A routine ferry crossing in Washington State’s Puget Sound was anything but usual in early December, and it was all caught on film. As you’ll see in the video, the ferry signals with five short horn blasts two separate times before the collision with the ironically named cabin cruiser.
Any angler or hunter with a boating license knows that five short horn blasts mean there is a potential danger of a collision. It seems “Nap Tyme” may have slept through that part of the course.
The Seattle Times reports that according to the U.S. Coast Guard, the cause of the collision is under investigation.
