When fishing in a tournament, a lost bass has the ability to impact your bank account significantly.
No angler enjoys losing a fish. The agony of defeat definitely leaves a bad taste in the mouth, but at the end of the day, it means little in the grand scheme of things.
That isn’t the case when you “pay to play” in the tournament scene, in hopes of putting serious cash in your back pocket.
But fishing isn’t a science, and for whatever reason, bass will come unpegged—often at the most inopportune time.
