These tourists were extremely fortunate to witness an extremely rare daylight leopard kill. That impala never knew the leopard was there.
Since they are such elusive creatures and primarily hunt at night, seeing a daylight leopard kill is a rare event indeed. However, South Africa’s Kruger Park is certainly one of the places offering the best odds of seeing such an unusual sight.

Sometimes it pays to make a bold move and that leopard walked right in like it owned the place. Did you like how the rest of the impala herd stayed around to watch the leopard kill and eat their buddy? It’s almost as if they all relaxed and felt safe for a moment because that particular leopard wasn’t going to be a threat for a little while.
