Vet in Texas Under Fire for ‘First Bowkill’: a Cat [VIDEO]

A photo is circulating the internet of a veterinarian in Texas holding up a cat she shot with an arrow.

Dr. Kristen Lindsay posted a Facebook picture last week bragging that her “first bowkill” was a cat. Her Facebook message read:

“My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s head! Vet of the year award … Gladly accepted.”

She has since been fired from the vet clinic.

Lindsay claims that the cat was feral but details are surfacing that it may have been an elderly couple’s housecat named “Tiger.”

The other veterinarians at Washington County’s Animal Clinic do not condone Lindsay’s actions.

Dr. Bruce Buenger said, “Our goal now is to go on and try to fix our black eye and hope that people are reasonable and understand that those actions don’t anyway portray what we’re for here at Washington Animal Clinic. We put our heart and soul into this place.”

Lindsay has since removed the picture and eventually her entire Facebook page.

Charges have not been filed as more details are being investigated. It remains to be seen if this was a case of blatant animal cruelty.
