With a title like this, how can you not try it?
Big news has arrived in my house. My wife and I are expecting our first child this coming Christmas day. As I write this recipe, my wife is right in the middle of her insane, off-the-wall, often maddening cravings.
Perhaps now you might understand how the venison bacon jalapeño-ranch mac and cheese recipe came to be. Luckily for me, it’s awesome.
- 1 pound ground venison
- 2 boxes of white cheddar mac and cheese
- 1 packet of ranch mix
- 4-6 slices of bacon
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- Diced cherry tomatoes
- Sliced jalapeños
To get this recipe started, start by frying the bacon in a large pan until very crisp and begin cooking the macaroni according to the directions.
Once the bacon is finished, remove it and crumble. Next, brown the venison in the bacon grease and cook until done, making sure to crumble the venison well.
When finished, combine with the diced cilantro and sliced cherry tomatoes.
By now, hopefully the macaroni is finished. Next, combine both packets of white cheddar and the packet of ranch to the meat mixture.
Finally, slowly stir in the macaroni and top it all off with sliced jalapeños. Add water as necessary to keep everything creamy.
Now it’s time to enjoy! Hopefully you liked this recipe as much as some of the others. I would have to say this falls pretty far into the comfort food category in our house now going forward.
Perhaps maybe even our future son may have a taste for it when he’s finally ready for big boy food.
