Use These Exercises to Increase Bow Poundage

Learn how to increase your bow poundage using these lifts.

There is a reason archery is in the Olympics and it’s because it takes strength, precision, and relentless practice. Let’s face it though, we just want to be able to pull back enough poundage to hunt. But what happens when the poundage is too heavy to draw the bow?

Watch Sarah Bowmar break down a lifting routine to become a stronger archer and bowhunter.

These exercises are great for anyone looking to increase their draw weight or increase increased strength in these target areas.

The set and hold sequence is 5-7 sets of 6-10 second holds with 3-4 minute rests between holds. It’s recommended to do this twice per week.

Nows the time to start doing this workout to increase bow poundage this fall.
