Kay Brockman-Mederas who is a biologist with the Wisconsin DNR said, “These are males, and they’re roaming looking for a mate because it’s mating season.”

She went on to say that this part of Wisconsin doesn’t have favorable food for a moose and that it probably won’t find a mate there.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office has asked residents to report all moose sightings via an online form.
