The AK-47 is one of the toughest guns in the world, but now we’ve found the ultimate AK-47 reliability test: can it withstand being buried in the sand for 18 years?
The AK-47 was built to last. It is not a fancy looking gun with a ton of high-tech equipment and gear added to it. It has historically been a bare bones rifle built to do one thing: shoot. And through the years we have seen it do just that. No matter what is thrown at the AK-47 not much will stop it from doing it’s job, and that’s where this ultimate AK-47 reliability test comes in.
But what we haven’t seen yet is the ultimate AK-47 reliability test like the one we have here. In South Africa, a cache of weapons is found after being hidden away in the sandy ground for over 18 years, and in the cache is none other than a rusty AK-47 – but will it still work?
There you have it in this ultimate AK-47 reliability test. Once again, the AK-47 backs up its ‘virtually indestructible’ name, and with just a small amount of oil to loosen up the rust is up and firing away in no time.
While we are against people with bad intentions gaining access to weapons like this, it is quite a shame to see a weapon that reliable completely destroyed.
