The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has finally taken action on hunting in the Twin Buttes area.
There have been complaints and confusion for years about the proper use of land in the Twin Buttes area.
Finally, KIDY reports that Game Warden Lieutenant Jason Huebner has proposed an agreement with the city that will allow new rules to be overseen by state law enforcement.
Huebner hopes that the new regulations and the new $12 permit for general use of the land will help to reduce some recent illicit activities that may have been taking place.
On the hunting side, the land is currently open for archery and dove hunting, but more possibilities may open up in the future as more agreements are reached.
