Although it is a weekday, head to a National Park tomorrow for free. Try to squeeze one last day of summer in before the kids go back to school or before it isn’t as acceptable to play hooky from work.
Tuesday is the National Parks system’s 99th anniversary and they are celebrating by letting everyone enjoy their beauty for free.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25, is free admittance to parks across the country. See if a park near you is participating. There are 408 parks, including 59 National Parks that will waive the entry fee.
Other fees, such as camp sites, parking or activity fees still apply.
Happy birthday to our National Parks system. Without parks, America would be much uglier.
Here are more free entrance days if you can’t get away tomorrow.
