22Plinkster Trick Shot: Shooting Candle Flame with Thermal Imaging [VIDEO]

Trick shot wizard 22Plinster channels the Predator and shoots the flame off a candle using a thermal imaging scope.

The Armasight thermal imaging scope, Zeus model, has a sight picture like how the Predator saw Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character in the famous movie. 22Plinkster uses it to cleanly shoot the flame off a candle.

The scope also has the extra-cool ability to record the shooting from Plinkster’s point of view. We see what he sees through the optic.

Take a look.

As impressive as shooting the flame off a candle is, I have to say that I enjoyed seeing 22Plinkster shoot some steel with those tracer bullets more.

Piney Mountain Ammunition Co. makes a .22 tracer round that traces in either red or green. Through the thermal imaging scope the rounds look white as the fire, making for a visual reminscent of some of the B&W video we saw from aircraft firing on targets during the Iraq war.

On a side note, are you as eager as I am to see his upcoming review and run-through of his “Frankenrifle”? That thing looks pretty awesome too.
