It’s Time for Another Edition of Swedish Wild Boar Curling

Is wild boar curling in Sweden a new sport, or are all the shuffleboard decks just closed?

In an amusing and kindly act, several men skating in Sweden came upon some boars that were stuck on a small lake south of Stockholm. The diminutive swine were apparently stranded on an island and couldn’t navigate the ice to return.

Enter the Swedish Boar Curling team.

This is without a doubt the silliest way to push a pig.

Since active wild boars can be pretty aggressive, the men were forced to use their trekking poles to push the animals back onto ‘dry’ land.

Even though they were stuck out on the ice like fish out of water, caution was taken so that the rescuers didn’t have to pay for their kind deed with some bite marks.

Cheers to the first official Swedish Boar Curling team for saving some pigs in need!
