We all remember shooting a shotgun for the first time and it pretty much went just like this!
Those of us who have shouldered a shotgun a few thousand times in our lives can recall that first time we touched off a 12 gauge, or any gauge for that matter. It reminds us that we didn’t always have the bulk or the muscle memory to handle one.
Did it stop any of us from wanting another try, one of our own, or a trip to deer camp with dad? Cheer for a young fella who just got his shoulder popped and in a minute when it quits throbbing he’ll be ready for round two!
Way to go young sir, you’re officially a member of the club! Great job by dad with the hearing protection and the shooting glasses by the way!
Just remember young man, the only reason he laughed at you is because he got laughed at when it happened to him, just like the rest of us! Cheers to all the dads, moms, granddads, and grandmas not to mention the aunts, uncles, and cousins that helped us get our start!
Now go rub dirt on it and take a lap.
