Turtle Walks on the Wild Side, Docks on a Gator for a Rest

There are some things that just go with being a gator.

Having a turtle hitch a ride on your back isn’t one of those things.

The family shooting this video on ‪Horton Pond on Jekyll Island in Georgia was probably looking for a gator. Obviously they weren’t looking for turtles. Especially turtles looking to hitch a ride.

Everyone seems pretty casual about the creature swimming toward the dock—especially the turtle. And did you see his turtle buddy off to the side of the gator, egging him on?

It might have been embarrassing for the reptile. However, he just may know what he can and can’t eat. Or maybe he had already eaten.

In a year or so, nobody will be relaxed around that critter.
