Here is a video of the famous black bear that’s been causing a stir in Maryland lately.
These police officers responded to a call reporting a bear by some picnickers in the Patapsco River watershed in Baltimore county. As it turns out, the bear in question was the famous black bear that’s been sighted multiple times in the area between Washington D.C. and Baltimore over the last month or so.
After assessing that the bear was not actually causing any trouble, the officers filmed this video from a safe distance to share the experience with the rest of the state.

It appears to be a yearling boar that is looking for his own territory to settle down in, which explains why he is so mobile. Since he hasn’t caused any problems or gotten into any trouble, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has not taken any action regarding the bear other than to monitor his activities. Soon this famous black bear should find a permanent territory to call home, which will likely result in much fewer sightings.
