If you use a topwater frog lure, you’ve probably had some pretty ferocious strikes.
But maybe not as intense as the lunging fish in this video.
Pike are some of the most aggressive predators in the fish world. When it comes to feeding time, pike aren’t too picky about what they eat—especially if prey is in short supply.
Chalk that one up under, “Didn’t see that coming.” Quite a mighty lunge and strike, wouldn’t you say? Being a pike, the ferocity of the attack on the frog lure isn’t unexpected.
They’ll even go after other pike, or frogs. It that had been a real frog, it’s reaction probably would have been the same as the angler: “That scared the crap out of me.”
Well, if the frog wasn’t dead and in the pike’s belly.
