A Black Bear Gives Golf Lessons at the Anchorage Golf Club

A black bear visited some golfers in Alaska and stayed for a lesson on how to putt. Either that or he was just lonely.

When you play a round of golf at the Anchorage Golf Club you may have to swing at something besides your ball like these folks almost had to do.

Enter one curious bear and some frozen solid golfers and you have the making of an unforgettable experience. Was this bear just lonesome or was he trying to work on his game?

According to the Alaska Centers website, “In general, bears tend to avoid people. In most cases, if you give a bear the opportunity to do the right thing, it will. Many bears live in Alaska and many people enjoy the outdoors, but surprisingly few people ever see bears, and only a tiny percentage of them are ever threatened by a bear”

They’ve even made a You Tube video that is very informative.

With that in mind this bear might be this used to people because it’s been finding food at this golf course or worse people have been offering it food at this golf course. Whatever the case if you find yourself in bear country it’s best to already have a plan in mind or you may face a bear up close like these folks did.
