This Colorado Decoy Rigging Tip for Duck Hunting is What You Need for Fast Water

This Colorado Decoy rigging tip was evolved to deal with river hunting conditions.

Try out this Colorado decoy rigging for hunting those big river currents. It is a simple modification to the famous Texas rigging system but with a different weight to grab those gravel bottoms.

That is an excellent way to keep those decoys from drifting downstream. This rig also allows for you to easily put out the spread and collect it back up at the end of a hunt.

One of my favorite spots to duck hunt is rivers. Especially at the bends so I can setup a nice ambush for pass shooting ducks as they fly down. This tip will allow me to setup in more shallow conditions and not watch my decoys drift away. More shallow water makes for easier wading and you can place your decoys by hand exactly where you want them. That is going to bring in more birds to your realistic setup.

For all your decoy and waterfowling needs, check out Cabela’s.
