This Bird Uses Its Wings to Sing, If You Can Believe That

This bird sings a beautiful sound, but not from its mouth.

Any sound you hear is caused by it’s wings.

Witness the male manakin bird sing a song with only it’s wings.

The club winged manakin is a bird unlike any bird you have ever heard a song from before. This bird truly cannot sing in a normal fashion using vocal cords.

What is the sound you hear on this video? Well the Cornell Lab of Ornithology has discovered the male manakin birds make their songs using their wings only. The vibrations caused by the bird’s wings sound like a violin like in nature. This is quite a find and has set the scientific community in quite some excitement.

As always we can never know everything that nature has to offer us. Keep your eyes and ears open and you too will learn something new every day.
