This Baby Cougar Took a Tour of a Fish Hatchery

Surveillance cameras captured video of a baby cougar at Mossom Creek Hatchery.

The baby cougar appears to be on it’s own since no mother cougar is seen in the video.

Watch the video to see what a cougar kitten does when it thinks no one is looking.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a cougar show up in an unexpected place and it almost certainly won’t be the last. As populations grow due to predator protection, human/predator encounters will become more common.

Aside from cougars, Mossom Creek’s surveillance cameras have captured video of coyote, blue heron, river otter, raccoon, deer, and bear prowling around the salmon hatchery. Sounds like a regular wildlife funny farm to me!
