They’re Catching Brown Trout in Upstate New York Right in the Backyard [VIDEO]

Upstate New York and fly fishing go hand in hand. People are even catching them in the backyard!

Wild brown trout can be readily had in many places around our nation, but the rivers and streams of New York’s heartland are beyond compare.

Some of the best fishing that can be had is behind homes, through cow pastures, and right next to the roads we use every day.

Here’s a good reason not to overlook that water and miss out on some great fishing.

Upstate New York has different meanings to different people. For those from the greater NY metropolitan area upstate is considered the Catskill region. For those in the Catskills, it may mean as far as the Adirondack Mountain region, which is where this video takes place.

I was born and raised in western New York State and we consider THAT to be upstate New York. It doesn’t really matter because there are wild brown trout in every one of those regions.

New York is blessed with some of the best hunting, fishing, hiking, and outdoor recreation activities in the land. This is just one of the many possibilities.
