Put away the boat for a day and land a monster northern pike right at your feet.
Fishermen at Lac de Serre-Ponçon in France can catch huge pike, and this guy’s no exception. Being that it’s one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe, and the fact that it holds pike like this one, maybe we’d better watch and see how they catch those bad boys.
I think they’re going to need a bigger net.
Lac de Serre-Ponçon, located in southeastern France, was created in the mid 1950s to ease flooding concerns and make hydroelectricity. Once pike were introduced and started snacking on carp, perch, grayling and the like, we began seeing video’s like this one.
Apparently there are some insanely big northern pike in this lake. Anytime we can catch and release a fish as big as this one, it’s time to load the gear, get on a plane and head to France.
