This Swedish Hamilton Trials Pistol is a Must See

The Swedish Hamilton Pistol never had many fans.

This trials pistol failed and never was a commercial success.

Ian from Forgotten Weapons shows us all about the Swedish Hamilton Trials Pistol.

The Swedish Hamilton Trials Pistol was quite an odd gun. This simple blowback operation pistol was chambered for the underpowered 6.5mm Bergmann cartridge. As awkward as it looks, Ian from Forgotten Weapons assures our assumptions. It’s clunky and weird, that’s all there is to it.

In the Swedish military trials of 1903, this ugly duckling was seriously outclassed when compared to its adversaries the Luger and the Colt 1903. It was not picked and commercial sales were dismal.

As with many other firearms of the past it faded into history. It was however another step in the evolution of autoloading pistol designs.
