Texas makes a huge step in the right direction by allowing conceal carry holders to bring their guns on campus.
Mass shootings and terrorism are threats that have become all too real for the American people. With liberals and leftists trying to put more restrictions on gun owners, Texas has took a step in the opposite direction.
As of August 1st, college students in Texas hold concealed carry permits are allowed to carry their weapons on campus.
Proponents of the bill say that it will help prevent mass shootings and attacks by allowing gun owners to engage the armed assailant before police can arrive. Makes sense right? Well, not everyone is in favor of it.
For example, the University in Texas lobbied against the law. Other critics say that it makes the situation even more dangerous on campuses by allowing students, who often suffer from depression and drug abuse, to carry weapons.
Despite the opposition Texas has become the eighth state to allow students with concealed carry permits to bring their firearms on campus.
What do you think? Is this a step in the right direction for Texas, and should other states follow their example?
