TenPoint Recalls 127,000 Crossbows [PICS]

United States Consumer Product Safety Commission

Ohio’s TenPoint Crossbow Technologies is recalling 127,000 crossbows.

TenPoint Crossbow Technologies, based out of Suffield, Ohio, is implementing a safety recall due to faulty trigger safeties.

There have reportedly been 19 incidents where arrows were released when the safety was engaged. The triggers were pulled with the safety on and the crossbows still fired. Luckily, no injuries have been reported from these incidents.

Two brands and a total of nine different models are under the recall. Serial numbers are needed to find the recalled crossbows, located on the left side of the barrel of the crossbow right below the trigger box.

The models affected are listed on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission website here.

If you own a TenPoint or Wicked Ridge crossbow, check to make sure your bow is not in the recall. Be safe and contact them immediately if your crossbow is one of the affected units.
