3 Teen Girls Charged After Video Shows Cruelty Toward Pet Bunny

Florida Times-Union

Three teenage girls are being charged with animal cruelty after a Snapchat video surfaced of them throwing a bunny into a wall.

The Florida-Times Union first broke the news of three teens who collectively abused a bunny.

Like most everything today, this event was recorded and shared on social media. The original video was shared through Snapchat as you can see two girls kicking and throwing a bunny as the girl who records the video can be heard laughing and giggling in the background.

The video made its way to the Nassau County, Florida’s Facebook Page as a concerned citizen looked on, disgusted at what she was seeing.

Warning: this video depicts animal cruelty.

After the video surfaced, several calls were made to the local sheriff’s office where the names of the girls were discovered and the house was located.

The Sheriff’s Office dispatched police officers to the address where they arrested the three teens and found the rabbit inside, alive but injured. The bunny is now at a local animal shelter healing from a broken leg while the girls were held at the juvenile detention center in Jacksonville.
