Should You Teach Kids Gun Safety Even If You Don’t Own a Gun?

While some are advocating for stricter gun regulations, others argue that simply teaching gun safety would go a long way.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention an average of 62 children, age 14 and under, died each year from unintentional shootings between 2007 and 2011.

By teaching gun safety at an early age, in most cases, these unintentional shootings can be prevented.

If you’re a gun owner and have children, how have you approached the topic of gun safety with your child? Do you find that the mystique of the object is gone because you’ve explored it safely?

Remember, it’s never too early, or too late, to start teaching gun safety.
