Taurus’s Raging Judge is, without a doubt, the judge, jury, and executioner.
If you are in the market for a revolver you can’t go wrong with a Judge. They are dependable, accurate, and have the added benefit of being able to shoot multiple calibers.
Taurus recently decided to go for broke on creating a powerhouse revolver with the six-shot Raging Judge. Similar to the regular Judge or Public Defender, it can shoot .45 long colt or .410 shotgun shells, but this special revolver can also shoot .454 casull rounds.
The guys on YouTube’s GY6vids got their hands on one of these bad boys and took it for a full test run. Check it out as they take this beast of a gun and put all three ammo options through their paces at various targets.
This new Taurus is definitely a powerhouse when it comes to revolvers, especially with the ability to shoot the .454 casull. With options like that I can see the Raging Judge quickly becoming a popular home-defense gun.
While it would be nice to have in the backwoods for predator protection, I see its weight quickly becoming an issue. I wouldn’t want to have that sagging on my hip after hiking for any more than a mile.
Regardless of what you plan on using it for, it will pack the punch you need to get the job done.
The Taurus Raging Judge MSRP’s for around $1,000 for both the three- and six-inch barrel.
