Taurus Judge Celebrates a Decade of Kicking Butt

Handgun history was changed in 2006 when Taurus introduced The Judge.

The advent of The Judge made it possible to have the impact of a .45 Long Colt round with the blast power of a shotgun. Check out this awesome anniversary edition.

The Judge comes in both polymer and all metal version. No matter which version you get, it’ll please you with every shot. The guys at GY6 Vids aren’t doing a review in this video. What they are doing is having fun with an awesome gun.

While most states do not consider The Judge as a short-barreled shotgun, one state is unique. Because of this, the gun is illegal to own in California. According to Wikipedia, the gun “got its name “The Judge” in 2006 when Bob Morrison, Executive Vice President, learned that judges in high-crime areas of Miami, Florida were purchasing the revolver for personal defense in their courtrooms…”

One of the challenges faced by Taurus was to find rifling that allowed for optimal performance of both types of ammunition. They ultimately settled on a shallow type rifling to allow both bullet and shot to have the best possible travel path and allow for proper velocity.

Now’s the time to celebrate. Grab your gun (Judge or otherwise) and fire off a few rounds to say Happy Birthday.
