Target shooting is a thriving sport in the US.
This infographic from the National Shooting Sports Foundation shows the big impact target shooting has on the US economy.
Each year, 20 million people spend an estimated $10 billion on target shooting. The sport has total economic impact of $23 billion impact on the US economy. It’s also created more than 185,000 jobs. And interestingly enough, more Americans participate in target shooting than baseball or soccer or skiing.

Sport shooting was on the international stage last week during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. The biathlon competitions included some of the world’s top target shooters. Last week, the men’s 15km Mass Start Biathlon had a true photo finish moment.
