Take a Paddle Through the Wilderness to a Kentucky Ghost Ship

ghost ship

This ghost ships looks like it came straight out of a Scooby-Doo cartoon!

Here’s something you don’t see every day. Down a small creek that empties into the Ohio River is a very strange sight, a large ghost ship, the Circle Line V. It appears to be hidden out in the middle of nowhere.

Watch as this group paddles up the river into seemingly nowhere to check this cool place out.

This sure looks like an awesome river adventure and a cool place to explore doesn’t it? The video says it is in Ohio, but the ship is actually in Kentucky. Directly across the river is Lawrenceburg, Indiana. One blog says this ship was originally launched in 1902 and saw many uses and names over the years.

Eventually, the ship was sold again in the 1980s and the new owner took it up the small creek where it has sat abandoned ever since.

As for who owns the boat now, that’s anyone’s guess. There are stories all over the internet about angry property owners chasing people off. Then there are other stories noting it’s now a popular tourist destination.

Whatever the case may be, it’s a pretty cool thing to find out in the middle of nowhere. This spooky ship looks like it came straight out a Scooby-Doo cartoon! Zoinks!
