The Granatbuchse GrB-39 Anti-Tank Rifle was a German weapon from World War II. It originally fired an actual bullet. When tank armor got thicker, it became obsolete quickly.

A grenade launcher barrel was mounted to the frame of the old anti-tank rifles. It launched a shaped charge warhead that was fired by a wooden bullet. This allowed the weapon to engage harder targets than the original bullet launching platform.

The Granatbuchse GrB-39 Anti-Tank Rifle is quite a historical weapon of interesting engineering. Ian of Forgotten Weapons fills us in on everything about this epic old school weapon.
