Bad Day to Have a Bushy Tail: Squirrel Hunting with a 12 Gauge [VIDEO]

This guy decided to do take his 12 gauge out for a little squirrel hunting action.

Watch the video to see how devastating a 12 gauge can be when you are ground squirrel hunting.

Ooh! I would not want to be a ground squirrel on that guy’s hunting property.

The debate rages among squirrel hunting’s dedicated legions over what the appropriate firearm is to take down the most bushy-tails while leaving enough meat for a decent meal.

I tend to lean toward a .22 long rifle due to the challenge and practice it provides for future big game hunts, but this video leaves no doubt that if you are trying to kill a bunch of squirrels, a 12 gauge is the tool of choice.

Have fun picking pellets. I’ll be eating squirrel legs and dumplings.
