He eventually settled in the Outer Banks area of North Carolina in 1997. He started A Salt Weapon Sportfishing in 2001.
Captain Dennis’ skills and experience has been featured on ESPN and he has racked up some notable tournament wins:

Captain Endee’s boat, the A-Salt Weapon, is a 56′ Paul Mann Custom Carolina with twin 1015 hp CAT engines that push the boat to a comfortable cruising speed at 25+ knots. The boat is fully decked out with modern Simrad electronics. The creature comforts include AC, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, ice maker, mezzanine seating, and satellite TV. The boat is hauled out yearly for maintenance and upgrades – you simply won’t find a better maintained boat in the Outer Banks fleet or the Bahamas.
For nine years the boat spent summers in the Outer Banks and winters in Isla Mujeres. But for the last three years, Captain Endee has switched his winter home to the Bahamas. His Schedule is roughly as follows:
May 1st – November 1st: May – July is prime time for yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, mahi mahi, and blue marlin. They target fish on the kite and trolling. July – September the fishing shifts to mahi mahi, white marlin, blue marlin, and sailfish. The boat is available for tournaments up and down the east coast during these months. They are still available for this years Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament starting on August 15th.
Long Island, Bahamas
February 1st – March 10th: Captain Endee will start fishing in the Bahamas in February and be in Long Island until March 10th. The hot action this time of year is big wahoo, 100+ pounders. There can also be great marlin fishing and deep drops for grouper and snapper. For the big wahoo you can expect to do some high speed trolling. If you have never been to Long Island in the Bahamas you will be pleased with the quiet and restful retreat that the island provides. Non-angling family members will not be disappointed with the top notch accommodations and plenty of relaxation. Ask Captain Endee for hotel recommendations.
Abaco Islands, Bahamas
March 15th – April 15th: Captain Endee moves to the Abacos to fish from March 15 – April 15th. Fishing from Hope Town on Elbow Cay you will be trolling for wahoo, mahi mahi and billfish. There is also excellent fishing for shallow water grouper. Have your catch vacuum packed and fly home with it or send it home on the boat and pick it up in North Carolina when the boat returns in May. With 3 of the top 10 beaches in the world located in The Abocos, angling and non angling travelers alike will enjoy the setting. Hope Town is an old English town with great food and great shopping.
No matter what time of year or where you fish on A Salt Weapon with Captain Endee, you are in for a treat. The captain and crew will work hard to put you on excellent fishing. They are family friendly and welcoming of anglers of all skill levels. Call Dennis Endee today to book a trip (844-655-0466).
