A unique looking SKS Gatling gun was recently up for auction on the gun auction website GunBroker.com.
You never quite know what you are going to find up for auction on GunBroker.com. Anything from ammo to brand new guns to rare antique arms could be up for sale at any given time.
One recent auction was especially unique. It was an auction for an SKS Gatling gun complete with six entire SKS rifles and a custom built rotating stand for shooting them.
According to the auction listing, the SKS Gatling gun shoots one gun at a time and has a mechanism that allows the shooter to rotate the guns as quickly as desired.
The one thing that isn’t clear from the pictures is if the gun fires as it is being rotated in a similar way to an actual Gatling gun or if the shooter must pull each gun’s trigger upon each rotation.
The auction included the rotating mechanism, three Yugo SKS rifles with buttstocks, three Chinese SKS rifles with buttstocks, six 75 round drums and twelve 30 round magazines. Needless to say, that is a lot of firepower and ammo capacity.
Good thing SKS ammo is still pretty affordable especially if you go the surplus ammo route.
The SKS is a very fun rifle to own and shoot. It is reliable, accurate, and nearly indestructible. Shooting one without it being attached to any sort of Gatling gun is a great experience that every shooter should try at least once.
The auction on the SKS Gatling gun had a price set at $3500. It didn’t receive any bids and has since ended. It might have just been a little too unique or expensive for anyone browsing the website while the auction was live.
Either way, it was a very interesting idea and looks like it would have been a lot of fun to shoot.
