The flats of Roatan, Honduras there are many beautiful fish, and Luiza is seeking bonefish and permit.
Living in true Salt Life style, Luiza and the crew spend the day sight fishing bonefish and permit fish in the gorgeous flats of Roatan.
Check out this video and get a close look at the wonderfully diverse environment of the Roatan flats.
The key to sight fishing bonefish and other species like them is that you have to let them run a bit when they get hooked. That way they get tired and you can reel them in. As Jimmy pointed out you should use 20lb. leader to get these fish landed easily.
Did you see how Jimmy let the permit fish go after he caught it? He knew that releasing this fish carefully would mean they would be able to catch more in the future.
If you’re wonder how you’d fare at sight fishing bonefish, remember what Luiza said: “All you have too do is try!”
