If you own a SIG SAUER MCX rifle, you’ll want to contact the company right away.
The company has announced a mandatory replacement of the carriage assembly of all SIG MCX rifles.
Through factory testing, SIG SAUER has discovered that a condition could occur that would cause an “unintended discharge.”
The company says the condition has only occurred in the factory and not in field use. Also, SIG has only observed the condition in the 300 blackout but is upgrading all MCX platforms due to its popularity.
To obtain the new carriage assembly, first register the firearm on SIG SAUER’s warranty registration website. The company will send a prepaid box to return the old carriage assembly.
A new assembly will be sent out within 5-7 days after the old carriage assembly is received.
In addition, SIG says it will be sending a $50 voucher for any inconvenience.
The company says that the new assembly will address the issue, along with enhancing performance and longevity of the rifle.
