Have you ever wanted a set of ballistic Boba Fett body armor? That day may have finally arrived.
AR500 opened the 2016 SHOT show with a bang by unveiling a set of ballistic Boba Fett body armor that they designed in collaboration with H&K, Armasight, SureFire, Team Wendy, Wilcox Industries, TEA Headsets, and Ryan Flowers.
With the recent release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, everybody is trying to cash in on the hype. Well, it looks like AR500 hit a home run with this project. Check out the photos below for a closer look at this new armor that is taking the internet by storm.
Boba Fett was a Mandalorian bounty hunter that first appeared in the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Over the years, he has developed a tremendous cult following.
Artist Ryan B. Flowers has been designing Mandalorian-themed armor for air-soft players for years. However, this is the first is the first known instance of a set of actual ballistic Boba Fett body armor that has been produced.
I have no idea how practical or effective the ballistic Boba Fett body armor is, but it sure does look cool!
As one person said on the AR500 Facebook page: “You can have my guns, when you pull them from my cold dead Mandalorian fingers!!”
At this time, it’s not clear if this is just a one time publicity stunt or if AR500 plans on actually selling ballistic Boba Fett body armor. However, I think they could probably make a ton of money by selling it, regardless of how effective or practical it is.
Be honest: who would buy a set of ballistic Boba Fett body armor if given the chance?
