SHOT Show 2016 is now behind us. The products being released this year by Glock, are upgrades to the G19 and G17 Gen4 platform.
Optics are here to stay and Glock is making sure you have that option to add upgrades without voiding warranties by milling your slides.
The Glock 19 and 17 MOS is added to the Gen4 frame. No changes to the trigger or lower half of the pistol were added. The slide was milled to include the slide plate and bolts to give the owner the option of added optics.
The choice to include the option on the 9 mm platform is going to be very popular as a Glock 17 and 19 are great choices for law enforcement and competition shooters.
Trijicon, Leupold, Burris, and other optics manufacturers have already integrated pistol optics to their lineup. While the optics can range in price is between $215-$600, the optic you choose can determine the overall price of the gun.
The Glock 19 platform has been recommended time and time again for new shooters, law-enforcement, competition, and concealed carry. The Glock 17 is also a very popular platform given that it has a little added barrel length and can add some better accuracy. Both platforms are very accurate, still reliable, and now both also readily customizable.
If you’re looking at a platform that you can grow with, and can afford to add the extra features, then the Glock 19 MOS and Glock 17 MOS are going to be modular platforms that you’re going to want to entertain. Check out the Glock MOS lineup and see which pistol is going to be something that you’re going to want to train with and personally own.
