Sharkjet: The World’s First Flying Shark

Sharks on a plane? Technically yes, with the RC flying shark jet airplane put through its paces in this video.

A couple of RC enthusiasts built what is likely the first RC flying shark airplane to ever exist. Using a preserved white tip reef shark that died at an aquarium, the intrepid gentlemen decided to make it into an RC jet plane.

Dun, dun. Dun, dun. Dun, dun, dun, dun!

Known as the Sharkjet, the RC plane is built around the body of the small shark and is quite impressive in flight. It takes off without any issues and makes quite the amazing spectacle as it soars through the sky. After a few minutes of flying, the pilot brings the flying shark airplane in for a gentle and safe landing.

Luckily, the flying shark is not an actual creature and I’m sure most people who enjoy the ocean are thankful for that. Any birds in the flying zone shown in the video might have been pretty shocked to see such a creature in flight.

This has to be one of the most unique ways to use a preserved shark ever thought of!
