How well do loop knots preform with artificial lures?
Victor closely examines the capabilities of the loop knot when using artificial lures with an aim to see if they are overrated.
Watch as these anglers field test the loop knot and the uni knot in water to see which looks more natural in motion.
As Victor described the artificial lures combined with loop knots allow for a free range of motion in the water, up to 360 degrees. This makes the connection with the lure appear to have a more natural flow in the water.
Did you see how the loop knot performed in the pool? They seemed to be almost the same as they flowed through the water. If you ask Victor he would say the loop knot is overrated.
Keep in mind these tests were done in a pool, where the absence of current may have had an effect on the lures.
