Bass Fishermen: See How Bass Take Lures Underwater and Think Like a Fish

This is the perfect opportunity to think like a fish by this underwater observation of bass attacking various lures.

Ever heard a fellow angler say the old truism to "think like a fish", well here is the perfect opportunity to do just that by watching bass take or refuse lures underwater.

This video actually proves how often a bass may take a swipe at your lure and discard it, or just take a nip and then try again. I think this translates to the odd tug or quick bump that I sometimes feel on my line when fishing from my boat. What I assumed was a slight snag on vegetation or log might well be a bass giving my lure a little taste test.

These types of bass strikes without a good hook-set is one of the reasons I started using a liquid gel bass attractant on my soft plastic and even hard plastic lures. Studies prove that with a good attractant bass are much more likely to strike aggressively and get a positive hook-set, translating to more fish in the boat.

This video definitely shows why it pays to think like a fish to get more of them in your net.
