The good folks at Mythbusters recently acquired a new high-speed camera and now you can see what a gunshot looks like at 73,000 frames per second.

Yes, you read that right: 73,000 frames per second. This is one of the fastest video cameras ever invented and the good people at the Discovery Channel, and Mythbusters have decided to use this amazing piece of technology to see what a gunshot looks like at 73,000 frames per second.

Take a look at this outstanding footage and see for yourself exactly what is happening every time you fire your weapon.

It is almost unbelievable how much detail you can see in that footage.

You can not only see the entire mechanics of the weapon, but also a small mushroom cloud as well as ignition sparks coming out of the barrel.

After seeing the power and intensity of this gun at such a slow speed, I can’t wait for more tests with different and bigger weapons.
