While fishing the Laguna Madre along the Texas coast, this YouTube user states that he came across a redfish that had a hook in its mouth and was wrapped in fishing line. After chasing it down he measured and then released it.
Red drum, commonly called redfish, are mostly found around the Gulf of Mexico and the coast of Florida. They prefer grassy marsh areas in bays and other estuaries; also rocky areas like jetties.
Did this guy do the right thing by netting that redfish?
