It’s clear why baby seals are called “pups” after watching the dog-like behavior of this Atlantic gray seal.
Gary Grayson was diving the Scilly Isles, off the southwest coast of England, when he encountered a friendly seal.
Watch as it happily receives chin scratches and belly rubs, shakes hands, and gives a playful nibble.
The scientific name for this seal is Halichoerus grypus, which means “hooked-nosed sea pig.”
After watching this video, though, it’s clear what animal it really resembles.
